GN Group in Denmark seeks a Senior Group Financial Controller with consolidation focus to strengthen the finance function in a global organization.

You will own the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation, collaborate with local teams and auditors, and drive simplification and standardization of the closing process.

Fluency in English and a strong background in finance systems like OneStream or HFM will help you succeed in this role.

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, auditing, or similar field.
• Several years’ experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, or international audits.
• Hands-on experience with consolidation processes and the flow from local entity reporting to group reporting.
• Experience with consolidation systems (OneStream, HFM or Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions and geographies.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

The team you will be part of

As a Senior Group Financial Controller at GN, you will join Group Finance and take a central role in ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality consolidated financial reporting.

Working closely with local finance teams, Group controllers and external auditors, you will drive the consolidation process while helping to simplify, standardise and strengthen the Group’s closing and reporting set-up.

Consolidation, closing and Group reporting

You will own and drive the monthly, quarterly and annual Group consolidation process, ensuring a robust, efficient and well-documented close.

You will:

• Lead and coordinate the Group consolidation process, from entity reporting to consolidated reporting
• Review reporting from Group entities and perform consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation and other Group adjustments.
• Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements
• Act as a on of the key point of contact for subsidiaries during the closing process, providing guidance on reporting and consolidation matters
• Support the transition of selected consolidation and reporting activities from external providers to an in-house Group Finance set-up

Process optimisation and reporting development

A key part of the role is to make the closing and reporting process faster, simpler and more reliable.

You will:

• Identify and drive improvements to closing, consolidation and reporting processes, including automation and standardisation opportunities
• Develop and maintain reporting packages in the consolidation system and process documentation
• Support the development and maintenance of consolidation and reporting systems and act as a key user where relevant

Financial controlling and collaboration

In close collaboration with other Group controllers, you will support the review and quality assurance of financial reporting from subsidiaries.

You will:

• Review and challenge selected financial information reported by subsidiaries
• Follow up on reporting issues, unusual developments and data-quality matters
• Contribute to the continued development of controls, governance and documentation within the Group reporting process

You are structured, proactive and analytical, with a strong sense of ownership and quality. You enjoy working with fixed deadlines, multiple stakeholders and continuous process improvement.

Moreover, you have a keen sense of quality, and you:

• Hold a master’s degree in finance, accounting, auditing, or a similar field
• Have several years of relevant experience from Group consolidation, financial reporting, or an international audit firm
• Have hands-on experience with consolidation processes and a good understanding of the flow from local entity reporting to Group reporting
• Have experience with financial reporting systems. Experience with systems such as OneStream, HFM or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
• Are comfortable working independently, driving tasks to completion and collaborating across functions and geographies
• Speak and write fluent English
