Job summary

Stibo Software Group in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join the Shared Services Finance team. You will own the financial close, deliver accurate reporting for several European entities, and drive improvements through automation and AI-enabled processes.

The role requires hands-on management of intercompany activities, audits, VAT and statutory reporting, plus collaboration with FP&A, Tax and Treasury. English proficiency and Workday experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Financial Controlling, Accounting, Audit or Reporting.
• Strong month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations and controls.
• Experience with audits, compliance, statutory reporting and intercompany accounting; Transfer Pricing is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to explain financial developments to stakeholders.
• Experience guiding colleagues on accounting matters and processes.
• Proficient in English and Workday or similar ERP.

Your Role

As Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the financial controlling and reporting activities for several European entities. You will work hands‑on with the numbers and processes, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, compliant, and delivered on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the financial close and reporting, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, management reporting and Group consolidation, including eliminations, while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Manage accounting and intercompany activities, including intercompany transactions, Transfer Pricing requirements and documentation, related invoicing, and providing guidance to the accounting team on accounting treatment.
• Support compliance, audit and statutory reporting, including annual audits, VAT, tax and other reporting to authorities, as well as relevant bank, payroll and treasury‑related reporting.
• Collaborate across Finance, working closely with FP&A, Finance Services and Business Finance to provide financial analysis and insights, support decision‑making, and resolve financial issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, contributing to governance and other Finance projects, maintaining relevant accounting documentation, and identifying opportunities to simplify and automate processes through digital and AI‑enabled ways of working.

Your team

You will join our Shared Services Finance team in Aarhus and work closely with colleagues across Finance, including Controlling, Reporting, Tax, and Treasury. Collaboration with business stakeholders is at the heart of what we do.

What We're Looking For

You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys being hands‑on and taking ownership of the details. You are structured, detail‑oriented and comfortable working independently, while also collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance. You have a strong accounting and controlling foundation and are curious about improving how Finance works through automation and AI.

We imagine that you bring:

• 5+ years of experience within Financial Controlling, Accounting, Audit, or Reporting.
• Strong experience with month‑end close, financial statements, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience with audits, compliance, statutory reporting and intercompany accounting; experience with Transfer Pricing is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to understand and explain financial developments to Finance and non‑Finance stakeholders.
• Experience providing guidance on accounting matters and supporting colleagues with financial processes.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience with Workday or a similar ERP solution.
