Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance our next-generation enterprise Dashboard 4.0 with a strong frontend emphasis. You will own client-side experiences and design scalable API layers to ensure seamless end-to-end integration.

The role requires 2-4 years in full-stack development, expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks, and experience with REST/GraphQL APIs. Hybrid collaboration and BI integration knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of practical experience in full-stack software development with a strong frontend focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience building backend APIs (REST, GraphQL) to support complex frontend apps.
• Experience with full-stack meta-frameworks such as Next.js or Nuxt.
• Strong tests for frontend and backend using Vitest, Playwright or similar.
• Ability to analyze problems and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Nice-to-have: BI tools integration (Power BI, Qlik Sense).
• Nice-to-have: experience with Jira, IntelliJ, and Git in Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of robust full-stack features with a frontend focus.
• Design and implement scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support frontend features.
• Participate in analysis and design to improve code quality and set technical standards.
• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and constructive feedback to the team.
