Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a frontend focus to drive the next generation of Dashboard 4.0. You will own client-side experience and design efficient API layers for a scalable, enterprise SaaS product in a highly dynamic pricing analytics domain.

You will contribute across the stack with Next.js/Nuxt, REST/GraphQL APIs, and automated testing (Vitest/Playwright). This role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of full‑stack software development with frontend focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience building enterprise SaaS UI using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript and React/Angular/Vue.js.
• Experience designing and maintaining backend APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with Next.js, Nuxt, etc.
• Knowledge of automated frontend/backend tests (Vitest, Playwright).
• Ability to analyze problems and contribute to architectural discussions.

About the Role

As a solution‑oriented Senior Software Engineer with strong fullstack capabilities and a frontend focus, you will play a central role in the continued development of our next generation enterprise Dashboard 4.0. You will take ownership of both the client‑side experience and the design and implementation of efficient API layers and services, ensuring a robust, scalable, and seamless end-to‑end integration.

You Will

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable full‑stack features, with a focus on intuitive front‑end interfaces and efficient backend API services.
• Design and implement scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support front‑end features and overall system functionality.
• Actively participate in the analysis and design phases, proactively identifying areas for codebase improvement, ensuring system health through refactoring, and setting technical standards.
• Exhibit a driven, detail‑oriented approach by engaging with the team pair programming, structured code reviews, and constructive feedback.

You Have

• 2-4 years of practical experience in full‑stack software development with a strong focus on frontend technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive technical expertise developing enterprise SaaS solutions and user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript and one or more of the top 3 frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining backend APIs (REST, GraphQL) to power complex frontend applications.
• Experience working with full stack meta‑frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt etc.
• Strong knowledge of writing robust automated front‑end and back‑end tests and experience working with frameworks such as Vitest, Playwright or similar.
• The ability to systematically analyze problems, independently make informed technical decisions, and contribute to architectural discussions.

Nice‑to‑have

• Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, and integrating those deep into the application.
• Prior experience working in a Scrum‑inspired agile environment using tools like JIRA and IntelliJ and source control (Git).
