Job summary

MFT Energy A/S is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to drive financial excellence across the group and take ownership of core processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-growing global trading company and contribute to strategic and operational finance from day one.

Reporting to Finance, Risk and Treasury, you will work across the organization with auditors and finance teams, ensuring high-quality reporting, controls, and insights while supporting tax and transfer pricing and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience as Auditor and/or Financial Controller.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and tax frameworks.
• Strong skills in Excel and ERP systems, ideally Business Central.
• Familiar with consolidation and BI tools, as well as AI.
• Independent, take ownership, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical, structured problem-solver.
• Clear communicator across teams and cultures.
• Curious, proactive, and process-improvement minded.
• Thrives in a scale-up with evolving systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IFRS and Danish GAAP financial reporting and controls.
• Contribute to reliable, timely financial reporting and insights.
• Support and develop group valuation models and partner program.
• Lead and participate in month/quarter/annual closings with external partners.
• Support tax, transfer pricing, shareholder transactions, cost controlling, and procurement.
• Act as financial partner for designated business areas.

Then you might be our new Senior Financial Controller. We are looking for an experienced profile ready to take ownership and drive financial excellence in a fast-growing global trading company.

The job as Senior Financial Controller

You will join our Finance, Risk, and Treasury team and play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial controlling and reporting across the group.

From day one, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, taking ownership of core financial processes while contributing to the continuous development of our financial setup. The role offers both responsibility and variety, with exposure to strategic projects and operational tasks.

You can look forward to:

• Acting as a subject-matter expert on IFRS, Danish GAAP, and audit-related topics

• Playing a central role in the audit process and maintaining close collaboration with group and local auditors

• Contributing to reliable and timely financial reporting and delivering high-quality insights

• Supporting and developing the Group valuation model and Partner Program

• Driving and contributing to cross-functional projects and ad hoc analyses

• Collaborating with accounting teams to ensure efficient, well-documented processes and controls

• Participating in monthly and annual closings in collaboration with external partners

• Supporting areas such as tax, transfer pricing, shareholder transactions, cost controlling, and procurement.

• Acting as a financial partner for a designated business area, providing insights and guidance

What we are looking for

• You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field

• You bring +5 years of experience as an Auditor and/or Financial Controller, ideally in an international group structure

• You have a solid understanding of IFRS and relevant tax frameworks

• You have strong skills in Excel and ERP systems, ideally Business Central

• You are familiar with consolidation and BI tools, as well as AI

• You work independently, take ownership, and consistently meet deadlines

• You think analytically and approach complex problems in a structured way

• You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and cultures

• You are curious, proactive, and motivated to improve processes and challenge the status quo

• You thrive in a scale-up environment where systems and processes are continuously evolving
