Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S in Vejle is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join the Accounting team. You’ll lead FX accounting, support month-end close, and partner with treasury to drive process improvements.

The role requires a master's/bachelor’s/HD in a related field with 5–7 years of experience and strong SAP/Excel/PowerPoint skills, plus excellent English communication. You’ll contribute to finance transformation and ensure compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's, bachelor's, HD or equivalent in Auditing, Economics or related field.
• 5–7 years of practical experience as Financial Controller, Auditor, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreign exchange (FX) accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end and quarterly closing activities within your responsibility.
• Collaborate with Treasury and stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Transform financial data into actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare statutory accounts and support the business on accounting topics.
• Act as deputy to Head of Accounting, ensuring continuity of responsibilities.
• Drive compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting regulations.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives to improve processes and controls.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Senior Financial Controller in our Finance Department, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing foreign exchange (FX) accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and quarterly closing activities within your responsibility, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Collaborating closely with Treasury and business stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyzing and transforming financial data into actionable insights to support informed business decision-making.
• Prepare statutory accounts and support the business with various accounting topics
• Acting as deputy to the Head of Accounting, ensuring continuity and seamless execution of departmental responsibilities.
• Driving compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and accounting regulations.
• Leading and contributing to finance transformation initiatives and projects aimed at improving accounting processes, controls, and efficiency.

What You Bring

• A master’s, bachelor’s, HDr, or equivalent experience in Auditing, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of practical experience as a Financial Controller, Auditor, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills and a goal-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• A resilient and structured approach to work, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• A motivating teammate who interacts effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• An approach towards digitalization and experience in project and P2P environments.
