Job summary

Oticon Medical seeks a Senior Embedded Software Developer to advance bone conduction hearing aid software. You will join a small, skilled team to develop an embedded platform, focusing on ARM-based SoCs and Bluetooth Low Energy functionality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with DSP, PC software, and electronics teams, ownership of modules, and adherence to regulatory processes throughout development, verification, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy for audio and data.
• Familiarity with ARM-based SoCs and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Knowledge of audio streaming protocols and low-latency communication.
• Experience with medical device software development and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to produce high-quality, maintainable code.
• Knowledge of good software practices, such as software design, unit testing and continuous integration.
• Experience debugging complex embedded systems across software and hardware boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature embedded software platform for an SoC with an ARM core.
• Develop and maintain embedded software for the SoC platform.
• Implement, integrate and mature Bluetooth Low Energy audio and data functionality.
• Translate architectural designs into robust, maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate with DSP, PC software developers, and electronics designers.
• Take technical ownership of selected software modules and drive them through verification.
• Implement robust testing and verification to meet functional, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Work within Oticon Medical development cycle that complies with regulatory requirements.
