Senior EHS Coordinator – Construction & Field Safety

Job summary

Solvexis Consult is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator / AMK-B to support a large and complex project in Denmark. The role focuses on field coordination, safety leadership and acting as the client’s EHS representative on site.

You will work closely with project management, contractors and technical teams to implement Danish safety requirements, manage interfaces and drive safe execution across activities from construction to operation.

Qualifications

• AMK-B qualification for coordination on large construction projects.
• Solid practical experience from construction, infrastructure or complex industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Danish occupational health and safety legislation.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and managing complex work interfaces.
• Practical knowledge of construction risks and appropriate control measures.
• Experience with inspections, safety meetings, contractor follow-up and site coordination.
• Confidence working independently and representing the client on EHS matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling AMK-B responsibilities in accordance with Danish requirements.
• Coordinating health and safety activities between contractors and workstreams.
• Planning and facilitating safety meetings, safety walks and contractor follow-up.
• Maintaining the Plan for Safety and Health (PSS) and coordination documentation.
• Maintaining a strong and visible EHS presence across the construction site.
• Conducting inspections and following up on observations, deviations and corrective actions.
• Coordinating common safety arrangements and interfaces between contractors.
• Identifying risks from overlapping construction, commissioning, maintenance and operations.
• Supporting safe planning and execution of high-risk activities.
• Coordinating activities in areas like work at height, LOTO, excavation, lifting and chemical handling.
• Supporting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Working with contractors to improve safety performance and close actions.
• Communicating project EHS standards and lessons learned.
• Collaborating with client EHS, project leadership and contractor HSE teams.
• Interacting with Danish Working Environment Authority when required.
