Job summary

Solvexis Consult is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator / AMK-B for a large and complex project in Denmark, based in the Fredericia area. The role demands a senior safety professional with practical, in‑field coordination across multiple workstreams and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling AMK-B responsibilities per Danish requirements
• Coordinate health and safety activities between contractors and workstreams
• Plan and facilitate safety meetings, safety walks and follow-ups
• Maintain and update the Plan for Safety and Health (PSS) and coordination docs
• Maintain a strong visible EHS presence on site
• Conduct inspections and follow up on observations and corrective actions
• Coordinate common safety arrangements and interfaces between contractors
• Identify risks from overlapping construction, commissioning, maintenance and operations
• Support safe planning and execution of high-risk activities
• Coordinate areas like work at height, scaffolding, electrical work, LOTO, excavation, lifting, chemical handling
• Support incident and near-miss investigations and follow-up
• Work with client EHS, construction management, project leadership and contractor HSE teams
• Engage with Danish Working Environment Authority when required

EHS Coordinator / AMK-B – Pharmaceutical & Complex Construction Projects

About the position

Solvexis Consult is looking for an experienced EHS Coordinator / AMK-B to support a large and complex project in Denmark.

We are looking for a senior safety professional who combines strong knowledge of Danish construction safety requirements with a practical, visible approach to EHS coordination.

You will work closely with project management, contractors, technical teams and other EHS professionals to coordinate safe execution across multiple workstreams. The environment may include construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance and operational activities taking place simultaneously, making effective coordination and management of interfaces particularly important.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable being out in the field, engaging directly with contractors and project teams, identifying risks early and ensuring that agreed safety measures are implemented in practice.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Fulfilling AMK-B responsibilities in accordance with applicable Danish requirements
• Coordinating health and safety activities between contractors and workstreams operating simultaneously or successively
• Planning and facilitating safety meetings, safety walks and contractor follow-up
• Maintaining and updating the Plan for Safety and Health (PSS) and associated coordination documentation
• Maintaining a strong and visible EHS presence across the construction site
• Conducting inspections and following up on observations, deviations and corrective actions
• Coordinating common safety arrangements, shared work areas and interfaces between contractors
• Identifying risks arising from overlapping construction, commissioning, maintenance and operational activities
• Supporting the safe planning and execution of high-risk activities
• Coordinating activities involving areas such as work at height, scaffolding, electrical work and LOTO, excavation, lifting operations, chemical handling and temporary installations
• Supporting incident and near-miss investigations and ensuring appropriate follow-up
• Working with contractors to improve safety performance and close identified actions
• Supporting communication of project EHS standards, safety initiatives and lessons learned
• Working closely with client EHS, construction management, project leadership and contractor HSE teams
• Supporting interaction with the Danish Working Environment Authority when required

Qualifications and experience

We are interested in candidates who bring:

• The required Danish AMK-B qualification for coordination on large construction projects
• Solid practical experience from construction, infrastructure or complex industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of Danish occupational health and safety legislation
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and managing complex work interfaces
• Practical knowledge of construction risks and appropriate control measures
• Experience with inspections, safety meetings, contractor follow-up and site coordination
• Confidence working independently and representing the client on EHS matters
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English

Experience from pharmaceutical, biotech, process, energy, data centre or other technically complex projects is particularly relevant.

Experience with commissioning, CQV, LOTO, Permit-to-Work or projects transitioning from construction into operation is also an advantage.
