Job summary

Novo Nordisk seeks a Sr. Director QC DK Materials & Device Analytics to lead a large Danish QC unit that supports analytical testing for materials, devices, and characterization across sites.

You will drive strategic direction, ensure GMP compliance, and build a scalable, data-driven organisation with robust capabilities. You will partner with Manufacturing, ASAT, and network leaders to optimise performance, foster an inclusive culture, and guide ~200–300 staff through multiple leadership layers

• Extensive leadership of large operational organisations through multiple layers.
• Experience in GMP-regulated laboratory or manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record in operational excellence and productivity improvements.
• Experience leading change and capability-building initiatives.
• Ability to balance operational priorities with long-term strategy.
• Strong collaboration and communication across global matrix organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction and long-term development of the QC DK Materials & Device Analytics organisation.
• Ensure compliant, reliable QC operations with GMP readiness and safety.
• Build a scalable QC organisation across multiple Danish sites and labs.
• Drive standardisation and continuous improvement in analytical workflows.
• Develop capabilities, technologies, and robustness to support business needs.
• Lead shared laboratory services for efficient, compliant support across the network.
• Advance operations through data-driven decisions, automation, and AI adoption.
• Partner with Manufacturing, QC Network Management, and peers to optimise performance.
• Lead a 200–300 strong team through multiple leadership layers and foster inclusive culture.
• Contribute to Global QC leadership to shape future direction and performance.
