Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Sr. Director QC DK Materials & Device Analytics to lead one of the Danish QC Units within Global Quality Control.

The role oversees analytical testing and laboratory services for materials and devices across multiple sites in Denmark, driving strategy, performance, and compliance. You will build a scalable, collaborative organization, lead 200–300 staff, and partner with Manufacturing and QC networks to enable data-driven excellence, automation, and continuous

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience leading large operational organisations through leaders and multiple organisational layers.
• Experience from GMP-regulated laboratory, Quality, Manufacturing, or similar highly regulated environments.
• Strong track record of delivering operational excellence, productivity improvements, and organisational performance.
• Experience leading change, transformation, and capability-building initiatives across complex organisations.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to balance operational priorities with long-term objectives.
• Demonstrated success working across global matrix organisations and managing senior stakeholders.
• Experience with regulatory inspections, compliance requirements, and quality management systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence beyond formal authority.
• Master’s degree or equivalent within Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Chemistry, or another relevant scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction, operational performance, and long-term development of the QC DK Materials & Device Analytics organisation.
• Ensure reliable, compliant QC operations with GMP readiness and safety.
• Build a scalable QC organisation across multiple labs and manufacturing sites.
• Drive standardisation and continuous improvement across workflows and services.
• Strengthen analytical capabilities to support current and future business needs.
• Develop and deliver shared laboratory services across the Danish QC network.
• Advance operational excellence with data-driven decisions, automation, and digitalisation.
• Partner with Manufacturing, ASAT, QC Network Management to optimise Global QC performance.
• Lead and develop a large organisation of 200–300 employees through multiple leadership layers.
• Contribute as a member of the Global Quality Control Leadership Team.
