Job summary

The Hub/Danske Bank is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across Europe. You will collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment, elevate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure security, reliability, and data residency across regions.

This hands-on role requires 3+ years of experience with AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, plus strong monitoring with New Relic and container work with Docker.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
• Proven IaC experience using Terraform on AWS.
• Strong background in AWS, including ECS, RDS, VPC, and ideally IoT Core.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as New Relic.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across team

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Monitor system performance and health using New Relic, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (including PCI DSS where applicable).
• Design and support infrastructure across multiple regions, with an eye toward resilience, redundancy, and data residency requirements.
• Participate in a rolling on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support and ensuring critical issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Mentor junior team members and champion DevOps best practices across the team
