Job summary

Flatpay is expanding across Europe and seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD, apply IaC with Terraform on AWS, and ensure security, reliability, and compliance while supporting multi-region deployments and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Senior DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong Terraform on AWS experience.
• Proficient in CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Docker, monitoring, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes

Job description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our expansion across Europe, designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that powers our growth. You'll work closely with our development teams to streamline deployment processes, elevate our CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable as we expand into new markets. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to shape infrastructure decisions at a company scaling fast across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
• Monitor system performance and health using New Relic, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (including PCI DSS where applicable)
• Design and support infrastructure across multiple regions, with an eye toward resilience, redundancy, and data residency requirements
• Participate in a rolling on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support and ensuring critical issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
• Mentor junior team members and champion DevOps best practices across the team

Your Skills & Experience

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or equivalent
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform on AWS
• Strong background in AWS, including ECS, RDS, VPC, and ideally IoT Core
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as New Relic
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across team
