Job summary

GN Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Design for Value (DfV) to lead cost/value optimization across product development and manufacturing. You will collaborate with R&D, Product Marketing and suppliers to ensure cost targets are met while maintaining performance.

You will optimize designs, drive value analysis, and manage ramp-up cost targets in a global high-tech context, reporting to the Design for Value team in Global Manufacturing & Operations at GN Hearing in Ballerup.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, preferably electronics.
• Experience in platform/product development, supplier sourcing or cost/value optimization in an R&D environment.
• Strong problem-solving for both technical and commercial issues.
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and industrialization.
• Experience with LEAN, Design for Value/Cost, or supplier sourcing in Asia is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Optimize products by cost/value analysis across product architecture and development.
• Manage cost targets and running estimates for ramp-up in development projects.
• Facilitate project sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier selection and negotiations.
• Support building business cases with R&D and Product Marketing.
• Lead project reviews related to Design for Value, Cost and Manufacturing.
• Guard costs in product development by guiding R&D on specs, materials and manufacturability.
