Job summary

Twoday Denmark is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our AI team in Denmark. You will turn business problems into well-defined prediction tasks and deliver production-ready models alongside data engineers and AI/ML engineers across the Nordics.

You will work hands-on with data and code, shaping analytics, modelling, and governance practices while collaborating with customers and colleagues to ensure value and impact.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data science experience, with models taken past prototype to production.
• Experience translating a business objective into a formal AI/ML problem and defining target variables.
• Strong predictive modelling craft: classification, regression, time series, and generative AI.
• Judgement about algorithmic choice: when a baseline suffices or heavier methods are needed.
• Solid applied statistics: honest validation, uncertainty, and explainability.
• Strong software fundamentals to write maintainable code.
• Experience applying generative AI, including RAG architectures.
• Governance: reproducibility, model documentation, GDPR, bias and fairness considerations.
• Ability to present work to customers without oversimplifying trade-offs.
• Fluent spoken and written Danish is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the analytical work in customer projects: exploration, feature work, baselines, modelling, validation, and documentation.
• Participate in framing sessions with customers to shape a business problem into a prediction task with defined target and success criteria.
• Propose and justify the algorithmic approach from baseline to more complex methods.
• Build production-ready models with AI/ML engineers and help interpret their behavior.
• Choose and defend evaluation metrics that reflect business outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers' analysts and domain experts during delivery and handover.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, internal sessions, and mentoring.
• Grow towards a lead role with support for progression.
