Job summary

Saxo Bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the FCP Modelling & Development team in Hellerup. You will build data products and ETL pipelines for AML, collaborating with experts on monitoring, risk rating, and surveillance.

The role emphasizes robust architecture, security, and production readiness. We welcome candidates with 5+ years in data roles, strong Python/SQL/Spark skills, and hands-on experience with Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related production data role.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Spark skills, with production data pipelines and data models.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow, Azure, or similar.
• Experience supporting ML workflows, including feature engineering and reproducible training datasets.
• Deployment skills for production workloads including CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes or similar orchestration.
• Good understanding of data security patterns and Azure security services.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve reusable AML data products, data models, and interfaces with clear ownership and documentation.
• Design robust ETL pipelines and interfaces for production, analytics, and external platforms.
• Translate AML requirements into durable production systems and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts on transaction monitoring, client risk rating, and surveillance initiatives.
• Define automated checks for data quality, integrity, and governance across pipelines.
