Job summary

Clear. is seeking an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning of HV GIS/AIS substations on a major data centre project in Fredericia, Denmark. You will review diagrams, coordinate testing, and ensure safe, compliant handover to the client.

The role requires a strong HV background, at least 2 years in HV engineering, and the ability to work across international rotations and client sites. Accommodation and allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical/HV engineering with commissioning experience.
• Experience with HV GIS/AIS substations and protection/control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and single-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV GIS and AIS substations.
• Review and develop single line diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation.
• Liaise with clients and contractors on project progress.
• Support system handover and close-out.
• Supervise engineers and technicians on site.
• Ensure work aligns with project, quality and HSEQ standards.

HV Commissioning Engineer (Sub Station/Data Centre)

€70,000 - €90,000 Salary + €1,000 NET Monthly Allowance + Accommodation

Clear. are currently recruiting for a Senior HV / Commissioning Engineer to join a major international engineering business on a large-scale project in Fredericia, Denmark.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong HV, substation and commissioning background to work on a technically complex project within the data centre and critical infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV GIS and AIS substations
• Review and development of single line diagrams and electrical schematics
• Supporting HV system studies, including:
• Protection coordination
• Arc flash
• Load flow
• Fault level
• Voltage regulation
• Detailed design and engineering of HV/LV electrical systems
• Working with protection, control and electrical equipment
• Technical specification, equipment selection and procurement
• Managing technical queries and resolving electrical engineering issues on site
• Planning and coordinating testing and commissioning activities
• Preparing method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation
• Monitoring project progress against programme
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other members of the project team
• Supporting system handover and close-out
• Supervising engineers and technicians where required
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with project, quality and HSEQ requirements

Desired Experience

• A third-level degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years' relevant experience in an electrical/HV engineering role
• Strong experience with HV systems, substations and commissioning
• Experience working with GIS and/or AIS substations
• Good understanding of electrical protection and control systems
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and single line diagrams
• Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with clients and contractors
• A structured approach with strong attention to detail
• The flexibility to work internationally and on project rotation where required
