Qualifications

• Experience designing backend services for distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a backend language; Python is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services for high-performance distributed systems.
• Take ownership of key technical decisions, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability and delivery speed.
• Build and optimize backend architecture to support evolving product requirements and growth.
• Write clean, well-tested code following established engineering standards.
• Apply TDD/BDD approaches where appropriate.
• Develop and improve frameworks, tools, and workflows for integrations with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with user and business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and share technical knowledge to improve engineering practices.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to improving payment workflows and developer experience for merchants and partners.
