Job summary

Reel is building software to accelerate the renewable energy transition, seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend work and scale data infrastructure in Copenhagen.

You will ship end-to-end features, own production systems, and collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams. Our stack includes Elixir/Phoenix, TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and BigQuery, with hybrid in-office work in central Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• Solid experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Willingness to ship end-to-end projects from idea to release.
• Interest in applying AI tools to improve software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain key backend systems for billing and market entry.
• Build the data backbone and real-time energy data pipelines.
• Scale infrastructure to support growing volume and geography.
• Ship user-facing analytics and platform tools for customers.
• Contribute to technical decisions and code reviews.
