Job summary

Jobtailor in Søborg, Denmark, seeks an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead backend architecture and drive Azure-based solutions. You will shape technical direction, enforce best practices, and ensure secure, compliant delivery across teams.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, manage releases, and oversee CI/CD and automated testing in a regulated enterprise environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of software development experience, incl. lead role.
Strong C#/.NET or equivalent Azure backend stack.
Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, async integrations and distributed systems.
Experience with Azure services listed in Tools (App Service, Functions, API Management).
Security: OAuth2/OIDC, MSAL, RBAC for auth.
CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.
Infra-as-Code with Bicep and/or Terraform.
Logging, monitoring, resilience and secure coding.
Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
GxP software delivery understanding is beneficial.

Requirements

Preferably 8+ years of software development experience, including several years in a technical lead or similar role
Strong experience with C#/.NET or an equivalent enterprise Azure backend technology stack
Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous integrations and distributed systems
Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid, Azure Storage/ADLS, Key Vault, Application Insights/Azure Monitor and Entra ID
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization, including OAuth2, OIDC, MSAL and RBAC
Experience with API security and API versioning
Experience integrating with Databricks APIs
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Git and Azure DevOps or GitHub
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Bicep and/or Terraform
Strong understanding of logging, monitoring, resilience, performance and secure coding
Experience with automated testing and modern development practices
Good stakeholder management skills and experience working across business and technical teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Advanced degree is beneficial
Experience from regulated environments is nice to have
Understanding of GxP software delivery and evidence generation is nice to have
Experience working in large enterprise environments with defined architecture and security standards is nice to have
