Job summary

STS Group is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (AP) to take control of LV and MV systems on projects across our operations. You will ensure safe operation, isolation, energisation, and compliance with safety procedures while coordinating with contractors on-site.

The role requires recognised electrical qualifications and formal AP training, with strong knowledge of LV/MV systems and legislation. You will lead safety-critical tasks and support fault rectification and audits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised electrical engineering or trade qualification.
• Formal Authorised Person (LV/MV) training.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV distribution systems.
• Familiar with safe systems of work and electrical safety legislation.
• Experience in electrical operations within critical or complex estates.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to lead on safety-critical tasks.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (AP) to take control of both LV and MV systems across our projects. You will ensure safe operation, maintenance, isolation, and energisation of electrical infrastructure in line with statutory requirements and company safety procedures. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about electrical safety and system reliability.

Here are some of the key duties of this role:

• Senior Authorised Person for LV/MV systems

Key Qualifications Required

• Proven experience in electrical operations within critical or complex estates
• Excellent communication & decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and lead on safety-critical tasks
