Job summary

EDRMedeso Group in Denmark is seeking a Senior Application Engineer (FEA) to support customers across the Nordics. You will leverage extensive ANSYS expertise to perform demonstrations, evaluations, and PoCs while collaborating with Sales and Revenue teams in a hybrid setup.

The role requires a PhD or MSc in Structural Mechanics, 10+ years in FEA, and strong communication in Danish and English. You will travel to customer sites within Denmark and contribute to growth through technical content

Qualifications

• Familiar and competent with FEA methods; at least 10 years with ANSYS tools preferred.
• PhD or MSc in Structural Mechanics or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in engineering industries.
• Business focused with awareness of commercial goals.
• Capable of independent work and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Able to tackle new technical challenges with steep learning curves.
• Open to exploring new/unfamiliar applications using a wide portfolio of simulation tools.
• Experience with systems simulations and Reduced Order Models is an advantage.
• Programming skills with Python or APDL.
• Good communication and presentation skills: Fluent in Danish and English.
• Results-driven attitude and customer-oriented thinking.
• Strong desire to learn new things every day.

In this role, you will be supporting customers in their journey toward digital labs and virtual prototyping.

The opportunity

We are looking for a FEA Engineer to work in the Technical Business Development team and with the Revenue department, by assisting in the sales process. This exciting customer facing role will require the post holder to use and further develop extensive expertise in ANSYS products, capabilities and features.

The role will include:

• Providing product presentations and demonstrations
• Attending trade shows and conferences
• Attending customer and site visits within Denmark
• Performing customer evaluations and proof of concepts
• Supporting customers in evaluation of additional products and capabilities
• Supporting marketing with relevant technical content
• Contribute to Country specific growth
• Account development planning, working with the Sales Account Managers

What we're looking for

The post-holder will:

• Familiar and competent with the application of FEA methods - at least 10 years of experience with ANSYS tools preferred and/or other similar FEA applications considered.
• Have a PhD or MSc in Structural Mechanics or in a similar related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Engineering industries
• Business focussed - aware of how the team/individuals contribute to company commercial goals
• Capable of working independently when required and within a multidisciplinary team
• Able to tackle new technical challenges often accompanied by steep learning curves
• Open to exploring new/unfamiliar applications using a wide portfolio of simulation tools
• Capable of working to both short-term and long-term deadlines with a rapid turnaround
• Skilled or interested in multiple applications
• Experience with systems simulations and Reduced Order Models is an advantage
• Programming skills with Python or APDL
• Good communication and presentation skills: Fluent in both Danish and English
• Results driven attitude and customer-oriented thinking
• Strong desire to learn new things every day
