Job summary

Scrambly is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and run the data platform behind the commercial side of the business. You will design and maintain pipelines that turn raw events, attribution data, and advertiser feeds into trusted tables, and you will use those tables to size opportunities and inform decisions.

You will work with the Head of Data and a growing team of Data Scientists, Backend engineers, and commercial professionals.

Qualifications

3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or similar, with pipelines in production.
Strong SQL and data modelling skills, including layered warehouse design and incremental models.
Analytical judgement: translate business questions into measurable metrics.
Google Cloud experience preferred; BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM.
Python for data work; familiarity with Git and code review.
Curiosity and ability to work with unfamiliar systems; proactive approach.
English at B2+; able to document systems and collaborate with an international team.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery from source data to consumable tables.
Analyze commercial questions with data and set thresholds for day-to-day decisions.
Take ownership of existing pipelines, document, and keep them running in production.
Add testing, assertions, and alerts to ensure data trust in models guiding decisions.
Help manage warehouse costs, optimize queries, and promote data best practices.
Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams.
