Job summary

Bifrost Studios is seeking a senior engineer to own and operate a live, mission-critical platform spanning cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and the live trading book.

You will design, run, and steer the platform, reporting to the CTO, with Copenhagen as the preferred base and CET-compatible time zones considered. This full-time role sits at the intersection of infra, data, and trading systems.

Qualifications

• End-to-end production ownership in a live platform with reliability as a priority.
• Strong Kubernetes, GCP and Terraform in production experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform on Google Cloud (GKE) through Terraform, treating IaC as an engineering discipline.
• Build and operate data pipelines ingesting market data from multiple vendors with normalization and validation.
• Own deployment, monitoring, alerting and incident response for live trading systems.
• Own relational/analytical databases behind trading and research with schema design and fault-tolerant, high-availability architecture.
• Manage integrations with external data providers and broker connectivity, preserving data as a long-term asset.
• Reduce operational toil through automation so the platform needs less manual intervention.
• Collaborate with CTO and quant team, owning the platform during market hours.
