Job summary

Bifrost Studios seeks a senior engineer to own and operate a live, AI-native trading platform. You will handle cloud architecture, data pipelines, and production reliability from design to live operation, reporting to the CTO in Copenhagen or CET-friendly zones.

You will drive end-to-end ownership of the platform, build reliable pipelines, and ensure fault-tolerant, high-availability systems with strong Python/Java skills and deep database expertise.

Qualifications

• Production infrastructure and data platform ownership experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GCP and Terraform in production.
• Track record building automated pipelines from messy external sources.
• Strong Python and Java skills.
• Relational database design, performance and operations expertise.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents as standard practice.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform on Google Cloud (GKE) via Terraform.
• Build and operate pipelines ingesting market data from multiple vendors.
• Own deployment, monitoring, alerting and incident response for live trading systems.
• Own relational databases behind trading and research; ensure high availability.
• Steward integrations with external data providers and broker connectivity.
• Reduce operational toil via automation as the platform matures.
• Collaborate with CTO and quant/data engineering teams; take ownership during market hours.
