Job summary

Pleo is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to shape AI-powered product features. You will collaborate with software engineers, data engineers and data scientists to move ideas from prototype to production using 40,000+ customers’ spend data.

You will design end-to-end RAG pipelines, manage prompts and production deployment, and build evaluation hooks to ensure quality. A hybrid/remote setup in Denmark is supported.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping customer-facing AI features using LLMs.
• Experience with RAG systems and full retrieval pipelines (embeddings, vector DBs, chunking, hybrid search).
• Experience building and operating evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI-powered product features for customers, owning outcomes end-to-end.
• Design end-to-end retrieval and RAG systems for product use cases.
• Own the AI-product lifecycle: prompts, context/state, agentic loops, error handling, production deployment.
• Build evaluation datasets and pipelines to validate AI feature quality.
