Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking an Advanced AI Engineer to turn strategic AI use cases into reliable products that deliver real value across the organization. You will independently deliver defined components, decide when to use conventional software, predictive models, or GenAI, and influence technical and product decisions to improve health outcomes globally.

You will join a cross-functional team, collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers, and work in a cloud-native environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building AI or software products; relevance over tenure.
• Experience taking AI-centric applications from idea to production or contributing to product/platform teams.
• Hands-on experience operating AI in production, including evaluation, monitoring, reliability and cost-performance trade-offs.
• Solid foundation in statistical and machine-learning concepts with practical experience of modern AI application patterns.
• Strong programming and software engineering skills, including testing, APIs and CI/CD practices, preferably with GitHub.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and coding agents as part of software delivery.
• Knowledge of model and tool integrations, observability approaches and MCP server design.

Responsibilities

• Take AI- and ML-centric use cases from discovery through production in cross-functional teams.
• Engineer the product-specific intelligence layer: data/feature transformations, decision logic, model integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to frame problems and define outcomes.
• Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high code quality and reviews.
• Build reliable, scalable, secure, observable solutions with testing and CI/CD.
