Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark seeks a Lead AI Engineer to turn strategic AI use cases into reliable, scalable products that deliver value across Novo Nordisk and patients served. You will set technical direction across multiple AI deliveries and coach engineers in production AI best practices.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists and domain experts in a cloud-native environment across Azure, AWS and enterprise AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI/software products in product or platform teams.
• Production AI experience including monitoring, reliability and cost-performance trade-offs.
• Strong foundation in statistical and ML concepts with practical AI patterns.
• Proficient software engineering with testing, APIs and CI/CD.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and coding agents.
• Knowledge of model/tool integrations, observability and MCP.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to diverse audiences.
• Proven capability to set direction across multiple AI deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Take AI/ML use cases from discovery to production in cross-functional teams.
• Engineer the product-specific intelligence layer with data transformations and model integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers to frame problems and define outcomes.
• Maintain high code quality and CI/CD standards with reviews.
• Build reliable, scalable, observable solutions with testing and documentation.
• Apply Responsible AI, data integrity and auditability in pharma context.
• Reuse shared capabilities with the AI Foundation team.
