Job summary

Agilent Technologies seeks a Senior AI & Scientific Workflow Automation Engineer to shape and implement automation and AI-enabled solutions across our R&D organization developing regulated IVD instruments and reagents for cancer diagnostics.

In this role you will partner with scientists and project teams to translate workflow challenges into scalable, reusable automation assets that strengthen quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field with strong technical foundations.
• Experience designing AI-enabled workflows in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientists to understand workflows, data flows, acceptance criteria, and documentation needs.
• Translate needs into validated AI-enabled solutions for regulated workflows and decide when AI or automation is best.
• Lead automation initiatives from concept to implementation with clear design, deliverables and adoption plans.
• Define scalable approaches and reusable frameworks beyond one-off demonstrations.
• Develop digital tools using Python, Copilot, Power Platform, analytics, and enterprise tech.
• Create data collection, calculations, result evaluation, graphs, summaries, and decision-support outputs.
