Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Denmark seeks a Senior AI & Scientific Workflow Automation Engineer to shape automation and AI-enabled solutions across an R&D organization developing regulated IVD instruments and reagents for cancer diagnostics.

You will partner with scientists and domain experts to translate workflow challenges into structured projects, scalable solutions, and reusable automation assets that strengthen quality, efficiency, compliance.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering, CS, data science, bioinformatics, or related field.
Experience designing AI-enabled workflows using LLMs and generative APIs.
Experience integrating AI workflows with apps, APIs, data sources, or automation tools.
Experience with guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and risk-based AI approaches.
Familiarity with grounding AI in trusted scientific or enterprise information.
Ability to work independently and influence across functions.
Experience in regulated environments (IVD/medical devices) a plus.
Experience mentoring cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Partner with scientists and domain experts to understand workflows, data flows, decision points, acceptance criteria, compliance needs, and documentation requirements.
Translate scientific and operational needs into validated AI-enabled solutions for regulated workflows, including when to use AI or automation.
Identify, shape, and lead automation initiatives from concept to implementation with stakeholders.
Define scalable approaches, reusable frameworks, and best practices beyond demos.
Develop digital tools using Python, Copilot, Power Platform, analytics, and visualization tools.
Create solutions for structured data collection, calculations, result evaluation, graphs, summaries, and decision support.
