Job summary

Maersk Tankers is seeking a Security Manager to act as the senior security expert across maritime, office, personnel, and travel security. You will develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security management framework, providing risk-based guidance to support business operations and risk-aware decision-making.

You will oversee secure vessel operations worldwide, lead security preparedness and response activities, and drive ongoing improvements to security programmes, including TMSA

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate security, risk management or maritime security.
• Proficiency in security risk assessment and ISPS Code understanding.
• Ability to design and govern security programmes and policies.

Responsibilities

Anchored in the Technical Management function, you will work closely with experienced maritime professionals and collaborate with colleagues across Commercial Operations, People, Technology (IT) Security, and external stakeholders worldwide. The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As our Security Manager, you will:

• Serve as the company’s senior subject matter expert for maritime, office, personnel, and travel security
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust security management framework across the organization
• Provide risk-based security advice to support business operations
• Support secure vessel operations worldwide and lead security preparedness and response activities
• Drive continuous improvement of our security programmes, including TMSA Element 13

• Relevant experience within corporate security, risk management, maritime security, law enforcement, military, or related fields
• Strong knowledge of maritime security threats, security risk assessment and the ISPS Code
• Experience developing and managing security programmes, policies and governance frameworks
• Ability to provide practical, risk-based advice and support decision-making in dynamic operational environments
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across functions and cultures
