Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer in Kolding for a 2-month engagement. You will deploy and maintain a secure, scalable compute and storage foundation for OT systems, covering both virtual and physical servers.

Ensure high availability, execute backups, and drive lifecycle improvements. The role requires strong Unix/Windows admin skills, virtualization expertise, and familiarity with OT networks.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows/Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with security solutions (Trend Micro Deep Security).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, vSAN).
• Understanding of OT networks at a basic level.
• Ability to document server architectures and procedures.
• Hands-on with enterprise server hardware (Dell, HPE, IBM).
• Experience with backup, DR, and patch management (Veeam).
• Active Directory and DNS/DHCP integration with Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain a stable, secure OT server foundation across virtual and physical platforms.
• Perform server lifecycle assessments and manage upgrades.
• Execute server replacements and migrations; design backups and disaster recovery.
• Monitor performance, health, and capacity; conduct incident analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and operational readiness.
• Plan, document results, and support audits; collaborate with internal teams.
