Job summary

Clear. is seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to join a client-side team on a major data centre project. This is a 12-month freelance opportunity, with a full-time commitment and the flexibility of being fully remote.

You will lead the design management across the project lifecycle, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and stakeholders to ensure design delivery remains aligned with programme, quality standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Project Manager / Design Manager.
• Previous experience working on data centre or other complex mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Experience managing consultants, designers and project stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a client-side project environment.
• Available to commit to 5 days per week for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design process across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor design deliverables against programme and project requirements.
• Identify and manage design risks, issues and interfaces.
• Lead design coordination meetings and track actions through to completion.
• Work closely with the client and wider project team to ensure design requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Review design progress and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate design changes and manage their impact on programme and delivery.
• Maintain strong communication between design, construction and project management teams.
