Job summary

Belden is seeking a Solution Account Manager, Data Center, to join our growing team in the US. The SAM will focus on establishing and maintaining strategic Data Center accounts, coordinating proposals, and delivering favorable outcomes by leveraging Belden data-center products across On-Prem, Cloud, Edge, MTDC and Colocation environments.

The role requires 5+ years in relevant sales/technical roles, strong data-center knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant sales and technical experience in data center markets.
• College degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center Automation, Power, Cooling, Compute, Storage and Network Architecture.
• Experience speaking to C-suite executives.
• Ability/willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Execute Belden’s Commercial Data Center Strategy as defined by the Sales Director.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to identify and secure On-Premise, Cloud, and MTDC opportunities.
• Use consultative sales approach to conduct needs analysis and engage resources.
• Collaborate with Solution Consultants to develop customized data-center solutions.
• Engage Field Sales to develop an effective Channel Strategy with Contractors and Partners.
• Expand business within Region and Target Account using Belden cabling and connectivity products.
• Work with Marketing and Product Line Management to maximize volume, mix and margin.
• Serve as a key member of the Enterprise Sales Team and drive strategic direction.
• Drive partner-friendly strategies aligned with Company plan to enhance market intelligence.
• Provide regular feedback to senior management on market potential.
