Job summary

OJ Electronics A/S is seeking an R&D Software Manager to shape and lead the software function across embedded, cloud, and mobile platforms. You will set priorities, provide direction, and ensure high-quality software delivery in a dynamic R&D environment.

You will balance people leadership with deep software development understanding, translating business and product priorities into clear team direction. This role is based onsite in Sønderborg, Denmark, with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, CS or related field.
• Experience managing software development teams.
• Proficient in embedded, cloud and mobile app development.
• Experience with C/C++, microcontrollers, RTOS or bare‑metal.
• Experience with C# .NET, Xamarin/.NET MAUI or similar.
• Experience with Git/Git Flow, GitLab, Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience with agile or Scrum practices.
• Strong English and Danish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop embedded, cloud, mobile app and UI/UX software teams.
• Create a safe, motivating, high‑performing environment for team growth.
• Develop team competencies and mentor both experienced and newer members.
• Manage collaboration with external development partners.
• Contribute to software development strategy, toolchains and AI‑aided development.
• Support software teams in daily technical challenges across embedded, cloud and mobile app development.
• Drive resource allocation and priorities with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with hardware, quality, system and application teams for strong integration.
• Participate in the R&D management team and help set priorities.
