Job summary

spektr is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help build high-quality, reliable AI-driven compliance platforms. You will collaborate with backend engineers, product managers and customer teams to create automated testing that scales across complex systems.

You will design and maintain E2E test suites, validate AI agent behavior, and ensure data integrity across RESTful APIs and databases. The role offers growth in a fast-paced scale-up environment with offices in Copenhagen, London and Iași.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable automated end-to-end tests.
• Proficient with API testing and SQL for data validation.
• Ability to write clean, reusable test code.
• Strong communication to explain bugs and edge cases.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on reliable, polished releases.
• Interest in AI testing and LLM-based evals is a plus.

Responsibilities

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help us build and scale high-quality, reliable products as we grow.

You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to build and maintain the automated testing that keeps our platform behaving exactly as intended, especially across complex, AI-driven, API-first systems. If you enjoy writing solid test code, finding the edge cases others miss, and helping teams ship with confidence, you’ll feel at home here.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Test Automation: Design, build and maintain scalable automated E2E test suites using Playwright, using LLMs to speed up test generation and maintenance.
• Agent Validation: Build and run test cases and evals that validate AI agent behaviour, so our autonomous compliance workflows are accurate, explainable and hallucination-free.
• API & Data Validation: Test RESTful APIs and validate complex data flows, checking data directly in the database so frontend, backend and AI systems stay fully aligned.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so AI model updates and deployments don’t break existing logic.
• Production Issues: Investigate production issues, reproduce failures and turn them into automated regression tests.
• Quality Practices: Work with engineers and PMs early in development on testability and acceptance criteria, and contribute to our QA processes and standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• The Scale-up Mindset: You thrive in fast-moving environments and prefer building systems over following manuals.
• API & Database Skills: You’re comfortable navigating backend services, testing RESTful APIs and verifying data integrity with SQL.
• Maintainable Test Code: You don’t just write scripts. You write clean, reusable tests that the rest of the team can build on.
• Communication Skills: You can explain a bug or edge case clearly to both a PM and an engineer.
• Detail Obsession: You have a "sixth sense" for where a system might break and a genuine passion for delivering a polished user experience.
• Curiosity about AI testing: Exposure to testing LLM-based features or eval frameworks is a strong plus.
