Job summary

DTU Sustain at DTU Lyngby Campus seeks a Project Manager to lead research-oriented and application-driven projects in wastewater treatment, water reuse, resource recovery, and circular water management.

The role blends technical project work with coordination, stakeholder communication, and experimental planning. You will collaborate with industrial partners, utilities, and public stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions and drive impact.

Qualifications

Experience or strong interest in wastewater treatment, environmental technology, process engineering, or resource recovery.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate projects within wastewater treatment, water reuse, and resource recovery.
Plan projects, track progress, and coordinate technical activities.
Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly.
Contribute to treatment of complex wastewater and residual streams including industrial, agricultural, biogas wastewater, and nutrient-rich liquid waste streams.
Work with membrane-based treatment, adsorption, coagulation-flocculation, and biological or electrochemical processes.
Plan and coordinate laboratory and pilot-scale experiments.
Evaluate treatment performance and analyze water quality data.
Assess potential for water reuse and resource recovery of nitrogen, phosphorus, water, and other resources.
Contribute to process optimization, pilot-scale planning, performance evaluation, and techno-economic assessment.
Collaborate with DTU colleagues, industrial partners, utilities, municipalities, technology providers, and public stakeholders.
