Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management, Product Development, Engineering, R&D, or a similar technical role.
• Structured approach with strong execution skills and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing external suppliers or international partners.
• Experience in manufacturing, mechanical products, or industrial environments preferred; Asia-based suppliers a bonus.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and product development processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, technical documentation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage product development and technology projects with external suppliers and strategic partners.
• Define project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timelines; monitor progress for successful execution.
• Identify risks and dependencies and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Drive development activities through strategic suppliers with a focus on collaboration and execution.
• Coordinate activities across Product Management, Sales, Purchasing, Stock Control, Operations, and R&D.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers and partners; contribute to consolidation and complexity reduction.
• Support portfolio optimization and continuous improvements while ensuring documentation standards and processes.
• Travel internationally (about 30 days/year) to suppliers and partners in Asia to support execution.

Project Manager – R&D & Technology

Location: Sunds, Denmark

Are you passionate about leading product development and technology projects while working closely with international suppliers and strategic partners?

As Project Manager – R&D & Technology, you will play a central role in driving product development and technology initiatives across our global supplier network. Working closely with suppliers, development partners, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered successfully, creating innovative solutions that support our business objectives and long-term growth.

As part of our Innovation & R&D organization, you will have the opportunity to influence product development, strengthen supplier partnerships, and contribute to technology advancements across Europe and Asia. This is a highly collaborative role combining project management, supplier development, and cross-functional coordination in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage product development and technology projects in collaboration with external suppliers and strategic partners.
• Define project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify risks and dependencies and drive corrective actions when required.
• Drive development activities through strategic suppliers, with a strong focus on supplier collaboration and execution.
• Coordinate and align project activities across Product Management, Sales, Purchasing, Stock Control, Operations, and R&D.
• Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new suppliers and development partners, and contribute to consolidation initiatives and complexity reduction across the product portfolio.
• Support product portfolio optimization and continuous performance improvements while ensuring compliance with technical requirements, documentation standards, and development processes.
• Travel internationally (approximately 30 days per year), primarily to suppliers and development partners in Asia, to support project execution, supplier development, and technology initiatives.

Your Profile

You have experience within Project Management, Product Development, Engineering, R&D, or a similar technical role and enjoy turning ideas, technology, and supplier capabilities into successful product solutions. You combine a structured approach with strong execution skills and thrive in an environment where collaboration and stakeholder management are key to success.

Comfortable managing projects involving external suppliers or international partners, you work effectively across functions, cultures, and the wider organization. Experience from manufacturing, mechanical products, or industrial environments is preferred, while experience working with Asia-based suppliers is considered an advantage.

You have a solid understanding of project management methodologies, product development processes, and supplier-driven development activities. Familiarity with manufacturing environments, technical documentation, and compliance requirements will support your success in the role.

A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Technical Business, or a related field is preferred. Fluency in English is required.
