Job summary

Kyocera Fastening Solutions in Sunds, Denmark, seeks a Strategic Buyer to optimize sourcing, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships across product groups. You will support cost-efficient procurement and collaborate with Product Management to drive supply chain improvements.

The role requires a background in Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing, strong analytical and communication skills, SAP experience, and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 50 days/year).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
• Experience with supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing is essential.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard new suppliers while developing relationships with existing suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, commercial terms, and supplier agreements across product groups.
• Evaluate quotations and tenders to support sourcing decisions.
• Qualify and manage suppliers in line with product, compliance, quality, and business requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and risks, driving continuous improvements.
• Maintain purchasing data and documentation in the ERP system and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders in day-to-day operations.

Are you passionate about supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and driving business value through effective purchasing?

The Purchasing function is becoming increasingly important in supporting a profitable and competitive business. The need for optimizing commercial terms, lead times, supplier performance, and inventory levels has never been greater. To strengthen our Purchasing team at Kyocera Fastening Solutions, we are looking for a Strategic Buyer.

In this role, you will ensure that products are sourced and procured in the most cost-effective and efficient manner while building strong supplier relationships and supporting the continued development of our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard new suppliers while developing and strengthening relationships with existing suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, commercial terms, and supplier agreements across Kyocera Fastening Solutions product groups.
• Compare, evaluate, and manage quotations and tenders to support competitive sourcing decisions.
• Qualify and manage suppliers in line with product, compliance, quality, and business requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and supply chain risks, driving continuous improvements and mitigating potential issues.
• Maintain purchasing data and documentation in the ERP system and ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines and processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and other stakeholders while managing day-to-day operations.

Your Profile

You have experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or similar and excel in commercial negotiations and supplier relationship management. Hands-on experience working with suppliers and manufacturers across both Asia and Europe is essential.

You have an analytical approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to drive purchasing performance and supplier collaboration.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, you have completed a relevant business or technical qualification combined with practical experience.

Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office is an advantage. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, while German language skills are considered a plus.

Approximately 50 international travel days per year may be expected.
