Job summary

Semco Maritime is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Main Component Exchanges (MCE) in offshore wind across Northern and Central Europe. You will lead end-to-end delivery, coordinating engineering, marine operations, HSEQ, SCM, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant execution and predictable outcomes.

Travel is required, including offshore activities. The role emphasizes safety culture and continuous improvement within a matrix organisation and fast-paced project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, commerce, or project management.
  • Proven experience planning and executing complex offshore wind projects in Northern and Central Europe with multiple interfaces and subcontractors.
  • Understanding of quality systems and structured project documentation management (file naming, version control, folder structures, storage locations, access rights).
  • Understanding of vessel mobilisation, POB planning, and offshore logistics.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory and safety frameworks (CDM 2015, Wind Turbine Safety Rules) is a bonus.
  • Strong planning and coordination; proficiency in MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Fluent English; German language skills are advantageous for local setup.
  • Strong HSEQ mindset and safety-first approach offshore.

  • Building and maintaining integrated project plans (scope, milestones, resources, logistics, marine/weather windows)
  • Coordinating interfaces across internal teams, customers and subcontractors and ensuring clear governance and communication
  • Presenting projects to the steering committee with structure, coherence, and transparency
  • Managing project risk, change and decision-making to secure predictable delivery
  • Ensuring robust project documentation, reporting, cost tracking and lessons learned
  • Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities
  • Working effectively across a matrix organisation to align deliverables

Deliver offshore wind projects – safely, predictably and with real impact.

Are you an experienced project manager (f/m/d) with a track record in Northern and Central Europe offshore wind delivery? Do you thrive on turning complex plans into safe, high-quality execution offshore? Then we would like to hear from you.

Your position

In your new position as Project Manager – Main Component Exchanges (f/m/d) in our Renewable Service organisation, you will lead the planning and execution of large-component exchange projects for offshore wind farms. You will work across engineering, marine operations, HSEQ, SCM, site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery for our customers. At Semco Maritime, safety is a core value. In this role, you will strengthen a proactive safety culture while delivering pragmatic solutions that help keep wind farms producing.

The position is full-time, and travel is expected depending on project needs, including offshore activities and regular interaction with stakeholders. The projects are typically long-term service contracts for our clients in Northern and Central Europe.

As a Project Manager – Main Component Exchanges (f/m/d), you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery with full focus on safety, quality, schedule and cost.

Your Profile & Qualifications

We are looking for a structured, accountable and safety-driven project manager (m/f/d) who can lead complex offshore deliveries and communicate clearly across stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, commerce, project management
  • Proven and demonstrable experience planning and executing complex offshore wind projects in Northern and Central Europe with multiple interfaces and subcontractors
  • An understanding of quality systems, including structured management of project documentation (file naming, version control, folder structures, storage locations, and compliant access rights)
  • An understanding of vessel mobilisation, POB planning, and offshore logistics
  • Sound, practical knowledge of UK regulatory and safety frameworks, including CDM 2015 and Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) is a bonus
  • Strong planning and coordination skills; tool proficiency (MS Office; ideally MS Project and SharePoint)
  • A good balance between professionalism and assertiveness to resolve issues effectively
  • Fluency in English, both in written and spoken form, with German language skills being a strong advantage for the local setup
  • A strong HSEQ mindset and the ability to drive safe execution in offshore environments
