Job description

OJ Electronics is growing, and we are looking for a project manager who ensures the successful execution of our product development projects within electric floor heating, where we develop thermostats and related digital solutions. The projects focus strongly on software development and coordination across several scrum teams, while also bringing hardware, mechanics, testing, certification and production together into one strong overall solution.

You are responsible for creating progress, coordination and clear priorities in a complex development environment, where several teams and disciplines work together towards shared goals. You ensure that the overall targets for deliverables, quality, time and budget are met.

The role as Project Manager

You join our team of project managers, who work across our business areas. In this role, you have key responsibility for leading the software part of development projects from the first specification through to a market-ready solution. The role requires a strong overview, as you manage the project while also creating the right framework for effective execution within and across several software and scrum teams.

You are the driving force who brings employees, scrum teams, internal specialists and external partners together throughout the execution phase. You create clarity around goals, dependencies, decisions and deadlines, enabling the teams to focus on delivering value and quality.

Your main responsibilities are to:

  • Work closely with project managers, product managers, system architects and technical leads on scope, priorities and specifications
  • Plan, budget and follow up on projects covering both traditional project deliverables and agile software deliverables
  • Coordinate dependencies, capacity and progress across several software and scrum teams
  • Ensure effective collaboration between software, hardware, mechanics, testing, certification, production and other relevant functions
  • Lead the project team, set a clear framework and provide sparring on priorities, risks and challenges
  • Ensure structure, decision support and documentation throughout the project
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and report progress in relation to scope, timeline, risks and budget.
Your qualifications

You have a relevant technical and/or project management background and experience leading development projects in an environment where software plays a central role. In addition, you:

  • Have experience with project management in product development, preferably involving a combination of software, electronics, testing and industrial production
  • Understand agile software development and have experience coordinating across scrum teams
  • Create overview, structure and progress in complex projects with many dependencies
  • Have strong drive and the ability to bring several teams together around a shared goal
  • Communicate clearly and effectively at all organizational levels – from development teams to top management
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English; Danish skills are an advantage.

The role requires physical presence at our location in Sønderborg and is therefore not suitable for either remote or hybrid work.

What we offer

We offer an exciting role in a dynamic environment, where you influence the development of products and solutions within electric floor heating. You become an important part of an area with a high level of activity, strong software competencies and many interesting cross-functional dependencies. You join a team of skilled and experienced project manager colleagues, with room to use your abilities and pursue your own ambitions.

The projects involve many departments and depend on a strong shared team effort. In addition to your project manager colleagues, you gain a broad network of colleagues within software, hardware, mechanics, testing, QA, certification, production, sales and product management, who are ready to welcome you and support you in the role. We have a strong onboarding process, where we thoroughly introduce you to our processes, tools and the teams you work closely with.
