Job summary

DEIF A/S in Denmark is seeking a proactive Project Manager within Product Development to drive cross-functional initiatives from idea to implementation. You will lead software, hardware, mechanical, and test teams, creating momentum and ensuring progress aligns with plan.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects within product development, engineering, or a similar technical environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive project execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with agile development methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage product development projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and follow-up activities.
  • Drive project execution and ensure tasks, actions, and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Coordinate activities across software, hardware, mechanical, and test teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Identify challenges, dependencies, and risks, and proactively drive mitigation actions.
  • Support resource planning and help ensure effective prioritization across project activities.
  • Provide transparency through status reporting, project dashboards, and regular follow-up.
  • Ensure project objectives, scope, quality, and timelines are aligned with business expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements of project management processes and ways of working.

As Project Manager within Product Development, you will drive development projects from idea to implementation, working closely with software, hardware, mechanical, and test teams. What you’ll bring

First of all, you are a structured and proactive project manager who enjoys driving progress and creating results through collaboration. You are comfortable working in a dynamic development environment where priorities may change, and you are motivated by ensuring that plans are translated into concrete actions and delivered outcomes.

You have a natural ability to communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization, creating alignment, follow-through and ensuring that plans are translated into action. Most importantly, you are someone who takes ownership and gets things done.

In addition to this, you have:

  • Experience managing projects within product development, engineering, or a similar technical environment, preferable embedded software / hardware projects
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive project execution
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with agile development methods is considered an advantage

Certifications such as Scrum Master, PRINCE2, PMP, or similar are considered a plus.
