With more than 19,000 colleagues globally, we take pride in shaping iconic projects that combine innovation, sustainability, and functionality all across the world. Our work in Denmark includes groundbreaking projects like the Cityringen Metro, BLOX and the Camp Adventure observation tower. We are a growing, dynamic office of 85+ staff, with a mix of Danish and international talents, located in the heart of Copenhagen in the iconic Axel Towers building.

The Opportunity

This role involves project management of multi-disciplinary technical teams, working across borders to deliver to international clients. This role shall focus primarily on the delivery of hyperscale data center and industrial projects in Denmark, Scandinavia and across other international markets.

From site selection and due diligence to commissioning and handover, we are looking for a Project Manager to manage every stage of the project lifecycle with precision and innovation. You will join the Denmark Advisory team comprising Project and Design Managers and Engineers tackling complex challenges in the built environment with creativity, expertise, and a commitment to social purpose.

As a Project Manager at Arup, you will:

Support the delivery and project management of data center projects from feasibility to full design and hand-over across multiple countries, regulatory environments and project teams, working closely with senior management to keep scope, programme, budget, and deliverables on track.

  • Coordinate technical reviews and the integration of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and environmental disciplines and project inputs across experienced multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders, to support integrated project delivery in a competitive data center market.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and engage with stakeholders, municipalities, and authorities, supporting stakeholder management and the progression of environmental and building permitting processes, maintaining alignment between client standards and local regulations.
  • Prepare project reports and project management deliverables, including progress updates, performance reporting, schedules, procurement inputs, and commercial information. Plan and control project programmes, mitigating delays to facilitate competitive speed to market targets.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards and quality and health and safety requirements and sustainability objectives, ensuring designs, procedures, schedules, and project outputs align with contract requirements and agreed processes.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about project management and who thrives in collaborative settings. We also value:

Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical), Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline

  • Experience in project and/or design management in delivering complex multidisciplinary projects, preferably in data center, mission critical facilities, healthcare, industrial or other fast track technically complex environments with exposure across multiple project stages.
  • Good commercial and contractual awareness, with an understanding of project management services including scope, programme, budget, risk, and delivery processes.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, consultants, contractors and client teams and building strong collaborative relationships. Clear and effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, while facilitating issue resolution and alignment.

Professional proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language and English.
