Job summary

NOVENCO Building & Industry A/S is seeking a structured Production Engineer to join the Continuous Improvement team in Denmark. You will partner with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to optimise processes, improve productivity and deliver high-quality output.

You will map processes, implement standardised methods, and lead improvement projects using Lean and Kaizen to reduce waste and downtime while tracking KPIs with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education as a production/manufacturing/mechanical engineer or similar.
• Experience with production engineering, process optimisation or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, problem-solving methods and process standardisation.
• Experience with data analysis and the use of KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production with a focus on productivity, quality, flow and delivery performance.
• Analyse production processes, identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the development and standardisation of production methods, work instructions and operational processes.
• Facilitate improvement workshops and collaborate with production teams to develop practical solutions.
• Use Lean, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, variation and production downtime.
• Establish, monitor and follow up on relevant production KPIs in close cooperation with stakeholders.
• Support capacity, layout and material flow improvements to create efficient and reliable production processes.
• Contribute to the implementation of new products, equipment and processes in cooperation with Engineering and Production.
• Ensure that improvement activities are documented, communicated and embedded in daily operations.

To support our production and continued growth, we are looking for a structured and improvement-oriented Production Engineer for our Continuous Improvement team. In this role, you will work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and other key functions to optimise processes, improve productivity and ensure stable, high-quality production. You will play a central role in translating data and operational challenges into practical improvements that create value for both customers and colleagues.

Your Impact

What Creates Success in the Role

• Relevant technical education as a production engineer, manufacturing engineer, mechanical engineer or similar.
• Experience with production engineering, process optimisation or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, problem-solving methods and process standardisation.
• Experience with data analysis and the use of KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.
• Knowledge of tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
• Ability to work systematically with improvement projects from analysis and planning through to implementation and follow-up.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage colleagues across different functions and organisational levels.
• An analytical, hands‑on and solution‑oriented approach, combined with the ability to create progress in a busy production environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Danish is an advantage.

An Example of Your Impact

A production area is experiencing recurring delays, rework and variation in output. As Production Engineer, you map the process, involve the operators and analyse the available production data to identify the underlying causes. Together with the team, you introduce standardised work methods, improve the flow of materials and establish clear performance indicators. Through regular follow‑up and employee involvement, the process becomes more stable, productivity improves and the number of quality issues is reduced. Context

You will become part of the Production and Continuous Improvement organisation and work closely with colleagues across the business. The role combines hands‑on support in daily production with structured improvement projects that strengthen processes, productivity and quality. You will report to the relevant manager within the production or continuous improvement function.
