Job summary

Vestas aircoil is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive operational excellence across our global production sites. This hands-on role focuses on shop-floor improvements, Lean initiatives, and project leadership from idea to implementation, including establishment of processes for new sites such as the UK.

The position starts at our Romania production site for about a year, after which the role expands globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence in an international production environment.
• Engineering/operations/logistics/supply chain or business management education.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies, with relevant certifications if available.
• Strong project management skills across cross-functional initiatives from planning to implementation.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across functions and cultures.
• International experience or travel willingness is highly valued.

Drive operational excellence across our global production sites as our new Continuous Improvement Specialist

At Vestas aircoil, we design and manufacture sustainable cooling and heat transfer solutions for industrial and marine applications worldwide. As our operations become more complex, so does the need to ensure that our production processes, standards, and ways of working develop alongside it.

To support this journey, we are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist who can help strengthen our production setup and drive improvements where they create the greatest impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, working with people on the shop floor, and turning challenges into practical improvements.

The role also involves project management, where you will lead improvement initiatives from idea to implementation, including larger strategic tasks such as establishing processes and ways of working for new production setups, for example our new production site in the UK.

The role reports to the COO and will start at our production site in Romania, where we expect you to be based full-time for approximately the first year. During this period, your primary focus will be to gain a deep understanding of the operation, build strong relationships across the organization, and deliver visible improvements that create value for the business. While Romania will be your main base, you will also support our local Operations Managers across our sites, including China, the UK and the US, contributing to improvement initiatives and sharing best practices. As the role develops, you will take on an increasingly global focus, working closely with colleagues within production, quality, engineering, and supply chain across our international operations.

What you will be doing

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will work with the ongoing improvement of processes, work methods, and procedures. Your goal is to optimize efficiency, eliminate waste, and ensure consistent operating standards across the organization. At Vestas aircoil, operational excellence also means putting safety first. Therefore, you will also help strengthen our safety culture and support our ambition of a zero-accident workplace.

• Lead and facilitate Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across departments and sites.


• Develop and maintain SOPs and best-practice procedures to ensure consistent execution.

• Collect and analyze operational data and KPIs to measure the impact of improvement initiatives.

We imagine you bring

• 5+ years of experience within Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or a similar role in an international production company.


• Relevant education within engineering, operations, logistics, supply chain, or business management.


• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar improvement methodologies, and preferably a certification within one or more of these areas.


• Solid project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional improvement projects from planning through implementation.


• Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert data into actionable improvements.


• Good IT skills and the ability to communicate complex messages in a simple way.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions and cultures.


• Previous experience with an international assignment or a role involving extensive travel is highly preferred.

Overall, you are change-oriented and proactive problem solver who enjoys understanding how processes work and how they can be improved. You are analytical and structured in your approach, comfortable challenging existing practices while building strong relationships across the organization. Most importantly, you have the drive to turn improvement opportunities into measurable results and create lasting change.
