Job summary

Heyra is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and ship production-ready AI solutions. You will own projects end-to-end, collaborating with engineers, data specialists, strategists, and designers to turn business needs into deployed AI systems.

You will work on scalable AI architectures, drive model development and eval frameworks, and ship solutions through cloud environments like Azure or GCP. Remote-friendly with a hands-on culture and fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Software development, ML or data engineering with AI applications in production.
• Fluent Python and at least one agent framework or SDK.
• Training ML models and data preparation.
• Building or extending eval systems for agent behaviour.
• Building scalable cloud-based systems on Azure or GCP.
• Coding with agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
• Stakeholder management and end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities

• Designing and deploying AI solutions across domains like finance, operations, and supply chain.
• Building predictive models, automated workflows, and agentic systems.
• Owning the data work behind your own models and agents.
• Building eval systems that measure whether an agent actually works.
• Leading client projects from problem to production.
• Translating business needs into AI solutions that actually ship.
• Integrating scalable AI systems through APIs and cloud environments.
