Job summary

Quadsat ApS seeks a Product Quality & Compliance Engineer to own digital traceability and defendable quality across R&D, production and supplier networks.

Lead the ISO 9001 QMS, coordinate testing and ensure compliance with MIL-STD, STANAG, AQAP and DO-178 where required by customers. Build practical configuration management linking engineering work, BOMs, SBOMs, and releases.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical degree required.

• Knowledge of risk management, DFMEA, requirements management, verification and validation.
• Jira super user with hands-on governance setup for engineering processes.

• Coordinate internal and external product testing for performance, quality and compliance.
• Lead compliance initiatives for future qualification against MIL-STD, STANAG, AQAP and DO-178 as required by customers.

Description

We are seeking a driven Product Quality & Compliance Engineer to lead product quality, digital traceability and defence compliance across our R&D, production, and supplier ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product development, quality, and compliance. Your focus will be on owning and embedding digital traceability across our R&D and production processes, ensuring quality, consistency, and transparency throughout the product lifecycle, while maintaining and continually improving our ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (QMS).

You will be Quadsat’s core quality and compliance ambassador both internally and externally, working across R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Commercial, and with our customers to ensure our products meet the highest standards without compromising the agility and innovation that define Quadsat.

A key part of the role will be to build and own the practical configuration management and digital traceability system that connects engineering work, product releases, BOMs, SBOMs, verification evidence, production builds, defects, and delivered product configurations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving quality and compliance across our engineering and production ecosystem. On a day‑to‑day basis you can expect to:

• Drive and govern product quality assurance from early concept and design stage through to verification, production, release and lifecycle support.
• Build, own, and continuously improve Quadsat’s configuration management and digital traceability setup across tools such as Jira, Confluence, PDM, and production records, ensuring that product baselines, releases, BOMs, SBOMs, defects, deviations, and delivered product configurations are controlled and actively used.
• Own the engineering governance and digital traceability framework in our Jira environment, including workflow and issue structures, traceability, dashboards, release planning and other related processes.
• Support the R&D Director in managing development activities through Jira, ensuring that processes and requirements are effectively planned, tracked, and integrated into development and release workflows.
• Coordinate development cycle reviews, compliance reporting, and engineering metrics using Jira data and provide insights to the R&D Director, developers and other stakeholders to enable informed quality‑driven decision‑making.
• Coordinate internal and external product testing activities required to demonstrate product performance, quality, and compliance.
• Lead compliance initiatives to prepare Quadsat's products and engineering processes for future qualification against defence and customer‑specific standards, including frameworks such as MIL‑STD, STANAG, AQAP, and DO‑178, as required by our customers.
• Maintain and continuously improve Quadsat's ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effective governance, process maturity, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Educational background in engineering or technical field.
• Proven experience working in a quality or compliance role, translating technical standards and compliance requirements into actionable engineering processes and development activities.
• Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of risk management, DFMEA, requirements management, verification, validation, and test coverage methodologies.
• You are a Jira super user with hands‑on experience setting up and maintaining practical engineering governance, configuration management, release management, defect tracking, traceability, and compliance workflows in Jira or similar systems.
• A pragmatic mindset that balances agility, engineering effectiveness, and defence‑grade quality expectations.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
