Job summary

BEC is a Danish fintech delivering IT solutions for Danish banks. The Product Owner for Payments will join our Roskilde office and take ownership of payment initiatives that affect millions of people and businesses daily.

You will collaborate with financial institutions, shape product strategy and backlog, and ensure agile delivery in close alignment with stakeholders. Fluency in English and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Payments area across cross-border and Danish domestic payments.
• Understanding of agile development and Jira for epics and features.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Convert business needs into BEC's Payment offerings with FI's.
• Drive the discovery process to identify right business outcomes including regulation and compliance tasks.
• Refine business needs in epics and features and socialize with development teams and stakeholders.
• Prioritize features in the development backlog with FI's.
• Plan and participate in implementations towards banks.
• Develop and maintain product strategy and roadmap for Payments products.

Working in the Payment space, you will take partina value chain thatimpactsmillions ofpeople,businessesandgovernment toconduct, every single day.

Theteam’sresponsibility coversa range ofproducts, fromfront-endpayment channelsto theback-endclearing and execution of payments.

As a Product Owner,you willidentify,scope and initiateinitiatives that willshape the future of Denmark’s paymentITinfrastructure, following sectorand regulatoryrequirements,businessdevelopmentandinnovation agendas.

You will alsoensure that priorities are aligned with stakeholder expectationsand bethe connection towardsourdelivery teams.As such, youwill become a key contributor toBECsjourneytocontinuously improve ourcollaboration model according to agile principles.

You willcollaborate closely with theFinancial Institutionsin the BEC community,theBEC development domains, governmentalagencies, sectorcollaborationsand other relevant parties in the sector.

You willbe a valuable member in a lean,collaborativeandexperienced team– that collectively holds the product responsibility forone of BECs core offerings.Your direct manager will beProduct Manager, Marius Ørum.

Primary tasksand responsibilitiesinclude:

Work closely together withfinancial institutions(FI’s)in the BEC community toconvertbusinessneedsintoBECs Paymentofferings

Drive the problem discovery process to figure out what are the right business outcomesforFI’sincludingregulation,sectorandcompliancetasks

Drive refinement of business needs in epics and features and socialize these with development teams and stakeholders

Prioritize features in development backlogtogether withFI’s

Plan &participatein implementations activities towards banks

Develop andmaintainproduct strategy and roadmap forPaymentsproductsaccording tomarket insight tobusiness opportunity,solutions/tools, competitors, legislation etc.

To succeed you will have:

A natural drive to clarify business requirements based on a product mindset and together withFIrepresentativesform the basis for IT development ofPaymentsolutions

Experience withPayments areabothcross border and Danish domestic payments,preferable also knowledge about Swift infrastructure and variouspayment schemes SEPA, TIPSetc.

Well-developed communication and collaboration skillsincluding handling of many stakeholdersat all levels

Ability to stay focused on delivering business value to the banks and their customers even under tight deadlines and changing priorities

Fluent in English(written and spoken)

ExperienceinparticipatinginIT development andbridgingthe gap between business and software development

Understanding of agile development, including use of Jira for developmentepics and features

Understanding of the Danish and European financial infrastructure and participants
