Job summary

Terma Aerostructures A/S is seeking a Product Engineer to own a family of aerostructure parts, ensuring technical integrity from design through production. You will translate customer data into routings and work instructions, support manufacturing improvements, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production teams in a regulated environment.

You will work within AS9100 and NADCAP frameworks, program management, and digital manufacturing support to drive robust, producible processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related technical field with manufacturing experience and configuration control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and requirements.
• Basic CATIA V5 or other 3D modelling experience.
• Structured with ability to manage parallel products and priorities.
• Experience in aerospace or regulated industry is valuable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity of your product family: design data, configuration and documentation.
• Interpret customer design data and translate into routings and work instructions.
• Handle engineering changes from screening through to implementation.
• Improve producibility, cost efficiency and cost reduction on products.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Product Engineer, you will be the technical owner of a product family of aerostructure parts manufactured from metal or composite materials. You will hold the technical integrity of your products, including design data, configuration, and documentation, and follow them from design through to stable production. Acting as the key technical point of contact, you will support colleagues across the organization by answering product-related questions and ensuring that technical requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

A key part of the role is translating customer design data, specifications, and requirements into routings and work instructions for manufacturing. You will work to ensure that customer requirements are transformed into efficient manufacturing processes that align with our tooling, machines, and production capabilities. When challenges arise in production, you will investigate root causes, identify solutions, and drive improvements to support successful and stable manufacturing.

You will become part of our Manufacturing Engineering organization, working closely with Production Engineers, who own and optimize manufacturing processes on the shop floor, and Digital Manufacturing specialists, who program our CNC machines, ply‑cutters, and autoclaves. Operating within an AS9100 and NADCAP-regulated environment, quality and compliance are an integrated part of our daily work. The team is collaborative and supportive, and we are committed to helping you develop the knowledge and understanding needed to succeed in this role.

Technical skills are important, but your mindset matters just as much. You take ownership of your responsibilities and see tasks through to completion. You communicate clearly with operators, program managers, and customer engineers alike, and you enjoy collaborating across functions to solve complex challenges. How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

• Technical integrity of your product family: design data, configuration and documentation
• Interpreting customer design data and translating it into routings and part‑specific work instructions
• Handling engineering changes from screening through to implementation
• Producibility, affordability and cost improvement on your products
• Root cause analysis and technical problem solving on defects and flow disruptions, together with Quality and production
• Technical input to Program Management and Business Development, including cost impact and change proposals

• You hold a degree in engineering or a related technical field, combined with experience from a manufacturing environment including engineering change management processes and configurational control
• You are comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and requirements
• Basic CATIA V5 or other 3D modelling experience (view/reference level)
• You are structured and capable of running your own work across several parallel products and priorities
• Experience from aerospace or another regulated industry is valuable, though not a requirement
