Job summary

Terma Group is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to drive requirements management, PLM integration, and digital engineering initiatives within a 15-person Systems Engineering team in Radar Platforms. The role emphasizes improving tools, processes, and support structures across R&D to enable efficient product development.

You will collaborate with R&D, IT, and production to strengthen tools, optimize workflows, and transfer knowledge across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Industrial experience in end-to-end product development including hardware and software.
• Strong understanding of PLM and product lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing digital engineering or IT solutions in industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of CAD, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Test Management, and Production Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage R&D Tool List in cooperation with R&D Software Acceleration, R&D Management, and Terma IT.
• Manage finances, monthly follow-up and drive cost-out initiatives.
• Establish support structures for efficient use of R&D Tools.
• Establish best-in-class ways of working with Systems Engineering, including use cases, platform, servitization, and configuration management.
• Explore and assess additional tool use cases, e.g., test management and hazard tracking.
• Support projects on how to initiate use and transfer data from Doors.

Your role in our team

As our new Advanced Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in managing and improving the tools and support structures used across R&D. You will help ensure that R&D tools are used efficiently and effectively by creating better processes, identifying synergies, and supporting projects and programs.

In this role, you will drive the implementation and continuous improvement of requirements management and contribute to initiatives towards a more integrated PLM setup across the value chain. You will work closely with stakeholders across R&D, IT, and related functions to improve ways of working, strengthen support structures, and ensure that tools and processes support development activities effectively.

You will become part of a team of 15 System Engineers within Radar Platforms department, where you will work closely with colleagues, share ideas, and continue to develop your skills while contributing to meaningful tasks.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

• Manage R&D Tool List in cooperation with R&D Software Acceleration, R&D Management, and Terma IT
• Manage finances, e.g., monthly follow-up and drive cost-out initiatives
• Establish necessary support structures for efficient and effective use of R&D Tools.
• Establish best-in-class ways of working together with Systems Engineering community, e.g., development use cases, platform, servitization, configuration management, etc
• Explore and assess additional use cases for the tool, e.g., test management and hazard tracking management system.
• Support/consult select projects and programs on how to initiate use and/or transfer existing data (from Doors).

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or another relevant technical field.
• Industrial experience in end-to-end product development involving both hardware and software, including production and service environments.
• Strong understanding of product development processes and full product lifecycle management (PLM)
• Proven experience implementing and operating critical digital engineering or IT solutions in an industrial context.
• Working knowledge of core engineering domains such as CAD, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Test Management, and Production Engineering.
• Knowledge and experience with modern digital engineering tools, e.g., CodeBeamer, Windchill, Jenkins, and Git, and modularization and productization are considered an advantage.
